Well the Antarctica and South America odyssey is now over and it was all great!! The trip to Antarctica was awesome and was an excellent choice. The G Expedition size was just right and the crew was fantastic. They kept us very busy and at one point (in a briefing for a very busy day to follow) the expedition leader observed that “this is not a holiday”!!! The Spirit of Shackleton itinerary was perfect and the expedition crew provided lots of historical context during the voyage. We would have no hesitation in recommending this cruise.
The time in South America was also fantastic. The itinerary worked well and all of the guides were excellent. Iguazu Falls and Machu Picchu were particular highlights. The hotels selected by you were all terrific and good matches to our stated preferences.
Thank you for your contributions to a great holiday – you have now been part of both of our “bucket list” trips (Antarctica and the Trans Siberian Railway)!!
We now have more than 5000 photos and 16GB of video to sort out!!!

We`re back from an amazing trip, we had a fabulous time. The group all got on so well, the guides/naturalist were keen and eager to share their knowledge and experiences, your organisation went like a Swiss clock and of course the scenery, accommodation, service and food was first class. What more could one ask for…. Sue`s highlight was Machu Picchu whilst mine was the Antarctic. I took over 3000 shots and had problems on deciding which ones should go into our travel book. The decision has been made, the travel book has been compiled and printed and I have had raving reviews.
I have attached two photos. One of us having champagne on a large slab of float ice and the other is a postcard shot of Macchu Picchu
Many thanks for organising the Sth America/Antarctica holiday.

Simon was right, ANTARCTICA is just AMAZING – the crew on G Expedition were the best highly recommend the whole deal.
In fact have told people if they are serious about wanting to go there to contact you guys as you were super in arranging things smoothly and professionally – thanks to you both.

Antarctica was absolutely splendid! The Drake Passage was eventful, but I was one of the fortunate ones who did not feel sick. We saw whales, dolphins, seals – crab, leopard, fur – albatross, penguins – three types – skuas. Was followed by a Leopard Seal that bit into our zodiac! Gales of 8 and 10 on the Beaufort scale of 12! Snow and icebergs. I’d recommend it to anyone. Visited the Ukrainian research station and Wordie House museum.
We were fortunate to connect with some great fellow-travellers – and, hopefully, some of us will travel again together at some time in the future.
The neck-roll advice from you was brilliant. I layered well and, therefore, kept snug.

We loved… the ship, the staff, the scenery , the service, the zodiac activities, the presenters on board, the animals, the stopover in Santiago (especially the Holiday Inn on the way home.) Thank you for not only listening to what we wanted but also providing it. We would definitely recommend Flower Travel, One Ocean and the Academic Sergey Vavilov which was a surprisingly stable ship (even in a force 8 Gale crossing Drake Passage!).

What a fantastic and memorable trip. Thanks to your expert organisation we have had an absolutely wonderful time.
We really loved Antarctica and the ship’s staff were beyond expectation. The crew were fantastic and within a few days knew everyone by name. The weather was kind to us and we did all but one landing. The Ice Camping was an experience and the sunset beautiful, we even did the polar plunge!! Even the Drake was calm.
The food on board was absolutely beautiful.I highly recommend this trip and would encourage anyone going to Antarctica to go to the Falklands and South Georgia as well.
All in all we have had a superb and memorable holiday.

Have been meaning to drop you a line ever since getting back to say thank you.
The trip to the Falklands, South Georgia and the Antarctic Peninsula was amazing. Certainly lived up to my expectations. Only missed out on one shore landing due to weather but gained one with a stop at the rarely visited South Orkney Islands where the researchers were very hospitable serving coffee and biscuits. We did have some great weather which always helps, everything from snow to bright blue sky and sunshine. I keep looking at the photos and pinching myself to think I was there. Perfect reflections and heaps of wildlife. The numbers are just phenomenal everywhere you look. It is almost like I am spoilt for travel for a while at least.
I was grateful to have met Anne prior to travelling and from my point of view it worked out fine. We tended to go our separate ways, which I was most happy about but of course it cut the cost and without that I would not have gone. I also don’t think I would have had the courage to just put my name forward and be matched up with someone although the people I spoke to that had done that seemed quite happy. So thank you for your part in that.
Thank you once again for your help and assistance with making this dream a reality for me.

Had a fantastic Antarctic trip. Nothing can really describe what we saw or heard (and smelt). Even saw an Emperor penguin. So rare even the captain got excited.
Will send an email later with a few comments on how things went -all good.
